Certain services, such as data transport for financial services companies can have extremely stringent Service Level Agreement (SLA) requirements, particularly for packet latency and other packet service attributes. Cyan's Z-Series platforms implement the latest packet processing components in conjunction with connection-oriented Ethernet technologies such as 802.1Qay, which provides SONET-like predictability and performance, with the packet aggregation and transport efficiencies of Ethernet.
