QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 5 years relevant experience
  • Object oriented programming abilities
  • Interest in and experience with Python and next-generation programming methods
  • Strong coding skills, capable of writing high-quality clean code
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Comprehensive problem-solving abilitiess

Candidates who are additionally familiar with any of the following will have a significant advantage:

  • Linux and programming for Linux
  • Knowledge of hardware components Framers, SERDES, and similar embedded devices
  • Understanding of platform boot-up and device drivers
  • Relevant Telcordia, ITU and IEEE requirements

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Packet Transport Systems and Management role focuses on the node and network level. We need developers with advanced computer science skills to address the complexity and scale of next-generation packet transport solutions. Cyan uses advanced meta-programming methods and domain specific languages to develop our software. This role requires skill in compiler design, advanced programming languages (Python or similar), and object modeling methods, combined with a knowledge of packet networking technologies.
