Cyan Z-Series L-AMPL-AMP Optical Amplifier / Repeater

The Cyan Z-Series L-AMP is a fully self contained 1 RU module that functions as a bi-directional mid-span optical amplifier / repeater.

Each 4-port L-AMP module supports bi-directional physical layer amplification of multiple DWDM wavelengths where node-to-node spans are greater than 80 kilometers. A single L-AMP supports two independent data paths for both East to West and West to East optical amplification. Each amplifier chain includes both pre-amp and booster Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifiers (EDFA). The pre-amplifiers support external dispersion compensating fiber.

An optical supervisory channel (OSC) carrying 100FX Ethernet over a dedicated 1510 nm wavelength supports OAM functions. The L-AMP incorporates a G.7712 compliant OSPF routing function for management plane connectivity.

The Cyan L-AMP incorporates external environmental alarm contacts and is supported by Cyan's CyMS multi-layer management system.
